Tranceflora - Amy's Glowing Silk (2015)

Commissioned by GUCCI

Designed a Nishijin-Kimono dress, using transgenic glowing silk (created by injecting the genes of a glowing coral and jellyfish into silkworm eggs) developed by NIAS's and built a large-scale installation with 3000 transgenic silkworm cocoons. The exhibition attracted 10000 visitors in 3 weeks.

農業生物資源研究所の開発したクラゲや珊瑚の遺伝子が導入された蛍光シルクを使って西陣織のドレスを制作。3000個の蛍光マユと共にインスタレーション展示しました。
