いや、マジで展示開始してほっとしてます！！！　命がけでした！！
展示スタートの前日、割れたガラスが太ももに突き刺さって
病院の救急棟に深夜一人でタクシーつかまえて行きました！
それくらいスプ子は命がけだったんです！！！　
もう二度と卒業なんかしたくない！

ゴァー！！

今回は３作品を発表したのですが、これまでのスプ子とはまた違う
かなりハイパーリアル＆シュールなイメージに仕上がってます。
ってなワケで、まず１つめから紹介しましょう。

　「生理マシーン、タカシの場合。」

この作品、実は展示開始すぐWiredやGizmodoに取り上げられ、英語圏ツイッターでRTされまくれスウェーデンの新聞にまで掲載され、ゆっくりウェブ公開しようと思ってたのにスッゴク急がされました．．．　ずっと皆にバレないかハラハラだったよ。

＜装着者が月経という生理現象を体験するマシン＞
という非常にシンプルなデバイスなのですが

それが西欧の宗教観や性観のデリケートな部分にかなり触れたらしく
かなりの議論を呼んでる模様です。

そして今回はスプ子史上初めて、生まれ故郷＜トーキョー＞でミュージックビデオを撮りました！

ギャル、森ガール、アゲ嬢、ゴスロリ、メイドカフェなど、イコンやキャラクターへの＜変身願望＞がロンドンやニューヨークより強い街トーキョー。そして最新のテクノロジーがいち早く人々に浸透する街トーキョー。だからこそスプ子は＜生理マシーン＞の映像を東京で撮りたいと思いました。

というコトで、はるばる東京で撮影してきましたヨ！
撮影に協力してくれたAug5の皆さん、ディレクターの柘植さん、スタイリングに協力してくれたセイショーコちゃん、ワイルドなファッションを貸してくれたロンドン＆東京のデザイナーのみんな！　本当にありがとう。楽しかったね！

そんな想いから、こっそり女装を始めるようになった不思議少年＜タカシ＞
しかし彼はガーリーな外見を装うだけでは満足出来ず
女性特有の生物現象である＜月経／Menstruation＞まで
身に着けるために＜生理マシーン＞を作る。
女性の平均月経量である８０mlを５日間かけてタンクから流血し、
下腹部についた電極がリアルで鈍い生理痛を装着者に体感させる＜生理マシーン＞
タカシはそれを自ら着けて友人と夜のまちへ出かけるが．．．！？

「カラスボット☆ジェニー」

＜テクノロジーの発達で人と自然の境界線はどれくらい曖昧になっていくのだろう？＞

ケンブリッジ大学動物学部と協力し、カラス・カケス・コウモリなど動物種とのコミュニケーションを勉強中のスプ子！　開発デバイス第１弾の「カラスボット」は、挨拶や警告など数種類のカラス(Rooks)の鳴き声サンプル（ケンブリッジ大・提供）を搭載し、それらを再生する事によって気軽にカラスの群れと交流するコトが出来る．．．はずのマシン！

カラス研究者のネーサン・エメリー教授とニコラ・クレイトン教授の保有する鳥園で、もっぱらリサーチ続行中。夢はカラスの声をサンプリングして、人間だけじゃなく鳥類の心にもひびく、めっちゃロハス系Jポップを書くコトー！　鳥類系オリコン１位！

寿司ボーグ☆ユカリは＜女体回転寿司モデル＞
として開発された女性型サイボーグ！

毎晩懸命に仕事帰りのサラリーマンを癒すユカリだけど
彼女の知能が段々と発達していくにつれ
ユカリはただの「可愛いらしい接客サイボーグ」としての役割に不満を覚え始め
こっそりとキッチンで自分の身体を改造し始める。

回転寿司部分にナイフを取り付け、自らを兵器として改造したユカリ。
彼女はついに、女体回転寿司サイボーグ屋の脱出を試みるが．．．！？

DIY Cyborg Workshop in India

The DIY Cyborg Workshop in India was an amazing success!
Thank you so much to Khoj Association for their massive support.

Here’s a short edited video of the workshop:

I asked the people who came to the workshop how they might modify&extend the body as cyborgs, based on their own particular problems, anxieties, needs or issues. The workshop aimed to think about how future technology may evolve with the rich Indian culture – and I also wanted to use the methodology to tap into the lives of the people in Delhi.

After the brainstorm in the morning we picked our favorite ideas and went to the local junk yard to collect materials for building the objects. I was interested in using vernacular materials that are easily and cheaply obtainable – it’s DIY Cyborgs!

Here are some of the ideas that came out from the workshop.

Burqa-borg

Anju Sharma created this burqaborg out of her own wish to create a burqa which worked similarly to the privacy settings in Facebook – she wanted a burqa in which she can flexibly choose which people to show her face to. People need to send a ‘friend request’ to be able to view her face behind the mask. Sharma feels that the burqa is not an oppression but a form of empowerment, just like the way we choose who to share information online.

Gaze Avoiding Cyborg

The girls wanted to create a body extension that made them feel more comfortable to walk at night. In Delhi men stare at women ‘a lot’. The men stare at the women so much that I understand why some of them feel like wearing the burqa..) The group prototyped objects that changed the body posture/outline, and objects that distracted the male gaze away from you by making big noise, etc.

The Fake Orgasm Goggle

This group looked at objects that allowed them to over-express their emotions. This particular prototype is the orgasm-faking goggles which display fireworks on the screen.

India was fantastic… I probably had some of the most amazing days in my life.
One of the best moments must be when we gate-crashed an Indian wedding and joined in their full-on Bollywood dancing.

Rish-Kish, a holy town on the upper stream of the Ganghis River, was beautiful!

I’ve met some wonderful people in Delhi…I hope to go back to India again soon!

Sputniko! will be doing a lecture, demonstration and workshop on D.I.Y cyborgs at the Khoj Association in Delhi on Sunday 6th December. We’ll have a particular focus on thinking about how technology may evolve with the rich Indian pop culture.

「サイボーグぐらい自分で作っちゃおう！」DIYサイボーグについてトーク、デモ、ワークショップを１２月６日（日）にデリーのKhoj Associationというアート施設でやってきます。今回は特にボリウッドなどインドでの熱いポップ文化がどうテクノロジーと絡まり進化していくか現地の人と検証して行こうと思っています。

フライヤーの写真（by Akshay Mahajan)はインドで有名＆ポピュラーな占いロボット。インドには占いをしてくれるロボットたちが多数道脇に存在していて、腕にくっついたヘッドフォンをかぶると自分の運命を教えてくれるらしい．．．マヂかよ！　

インド人、ボリウッド、サリ、カレー、サイボーグ、結構かなり楽しみ。
はりきって行ってきます！
